It's a pleasure to meet you!

Once you’re a member of the Tuffy’s family, you’re a part of ours. We live and work here, too, and our customers feel less like clients – and more like neighbors and friends in our shared community. We’re also founders and owners of a doggie day care, AndaLeash, in South Tampa.

Serving in the U.S. Navy prior to completing his degree at the University of Toledo, Andy rescued his favorite good boy and company namesake, Tuffy (who was more human than dog), while in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Then he connected with his lifelong love, Sam, in college.

Andy and Sam have both always had an entrepreneurial mindset while putting people (and animals) first. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, they bring a Midwestern friendliness to the Florida state of mind.

“We’re raising our family right beside yours, and every decision we make is to help ensure that you’re treated the way we would want to be treated,” Andy said. They’re soaking up all of the moments they can with their two young children, Molly and George. And, yes, they have a house full of rescues too – Wilson, Mila, and Ralph.

Our Process

We'll take your outdoor space to the next level. Here's what you can expect.

Free consult

Once you’ve booked your free consult, owner Andy Milanoski will personally visit your site to discuss your needs. He’ll answer any questions, and talk through initial options for your site design and installation. Before he leaves, he’ll measure the space for artificial turf to begin preparing your estimate.

Quote review

After you’ve reviewed your artificial turf estimate, simply call, text or email Andy to move forward and get your project scheduled, and discuss payment.

Site preparation

Before installing, we’ll prep the outdoor space by removing existing grass and debris, grading the area, and installing a base layer of crushed stone or gravel. It’s important to consider our best access to your outdoor space, as we will need to have room for our machinery to enter and exit for an efficient installation.

Turf installation

Once the site is prepared, your turf can be installed. This involves rolling out the turf and cutting it to fit the shape of your desired area. Depending on the size and shape of the area, this step can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day or more.

Infill

This material that’s added to the surface of the turf to help support the fibers and provide cushioning. The time it takes to add infill will depend on the size of the area and the type of infill used.

Seaming and edging

Once your turf is installed, the seams between the individual pieces of turf need to be carefully joined and the edges need to be trimmed and secured. This step can take several hours or more, depending on the size and complexity of the area to create a near-seamless look for your design.

Cleanup

Finally, once the installation is complete, the site needs to be thoroughly cleaned up, including removing any excess turf, infill, or debris. This step can take several hours.

Now for the best part, enjoying your new outdoor space!

(We also love when our customers share their experience with others – in person or online – give us a shout or write a Google Review and we’ll share your completed project on our site.)
